A rant but I wanted to get it out there

I am definitely still a big fan of paper books over ebooks for many reasons (the feel, it's what I'm used to, I read faster on paper and am less easily distracted) but I am reminded again this morning of one of the big reasons....I've never had a bookstore employee come to my house and repossess a book...Amazon lost the rights to another book I had on kindle and is doing just that. I'm probably applying my book credit to a paper book (since that's apparently allowed). I'm thinking Amazon won't send an employee to my house to repossess that.

The Secret of the Portals by Brant Waldeck

Title:  The Secret of the Portals
Author: Brant Waldeck
Genre: Adventure / Children

Amazon
Barnes & Noble

Recent fifth grade graduates Bruten Stone and Tommy Staunton are enjoying another summer vacation exploring the woods around their home when they come upon portals to other worlds. The boys find themselves in some strange places and make some interesting discoveries....including what is being hidden from them. The boys find themselves in a position to save the world beyond the portals and they do so, for now.....

I really enjoyed this one. While it is marketed to towards middle school age children it was a fun read for me and I haven't been that young in quite some time (I've always felt as a reader it's easy to miss out by only reading for your age group!) . I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good adventure!
